Boys, Boys, Glorious Boys!!!

Boy am I a lucky girl.  I was able to hang in the woods with these tribe of boy cousins by the river!!  When the first ideas about photographing 9 boys on a summer morning came my way, I have to admit I was a little scared.  I mean, I have a son.  I know what could happen.  I was so wrong.  These boys gave me beautiful smiles and followed every direction perfectly!!  In fact, bring on the next boy session!!!

BIG Trees, BIG hugs, BIG Foot and BIG smiles/ A Trip to the Redwoods

Our family recently took a trip to the Redwoods in Humboldt, California for a surprise 40th birthday meet up with a group of friends.  We hugged BIG trees, gave them BIG hugs, looked for BIGfoot and had lots of BIG smiles.  We spend 4 glorious days resting and playing among the giant Redwoods and it definitely calmed my soul.  The kids even has a wonderful time frolicking below the giant canopy of tree limbs.  If you ever get a chance to carve out a small window of time to visit them, do. And please tell them Erin says, "hello."

Red, White and Blue

Red White and Blue is one of my favorite themes to shoot each year.  This year, we did an impromptu sesh at a local field just as the sun was setting. There is something so heartwarming about watching our beautiful flag wave in the wind. I was in heaven and I hope you all like the photos too.....
