Juarez Family Photos | Bend, OR Portrait Photographer

Give me a field, a setting sun and a beautiful family and I am in heaven. I am partial because they are my family.. but still.... The girls frolicked in their cowgirl boots and the boys gave me smiles for their momma.  I think my bro-in-law was a tad giddy because of it currently being hunting season but it definitely proved to be in my benefit.  Check out this session.

In Our Own Backyard

A couple of weeks ago, the hubby and I woke up and decided to get the kids up to the mountains for a hike before the snow comes.  I especially wanted to breathe in the fresh, cool air.  Usually, this time of year, he is hunting so we don't get the lovely family weekend explorations together that I love.  September is gold to me.  The weather is still perfect and the beauty is simply striking.  It's easy to appreciate the wonder when you know the tundra and darkness are coming soon... Uggggg ... Anyways, we drove and hiked and explored and of coarse...we took some pics....

I Have An Addiction....

So, the past few weeks have been a little Cray Cray for me.  I recently came home from a lovely trip to Uganda. (blog post coming soon.) Upon my second day home, I had to return to my great job and work a 10 hour day.  After a half week of work, my family packed up and ventured over the hill to beautiful Portland to attend my great friend's wedding.  I was not the wedding photographer and I was sooooo excited to just sit back and enjoy the beautiful day.  I dreamt of simply taking in the moments of the ceremony and enjoying my being with my hubby and kids.  That did happen.  The scenery was to die for.  The food was delicious.  I actually sat down at a table and ate and had conversation with others attending the wedding.  However, after dinner I noticed the beautiful sky that looked like cotton candy and I looked over at my absolutely beautiful friend sitting in her beautiful dress watching her new hubby eat.  I literally wanted to jump out of my skin and grab her and take some quick shots in front of the sky! I tried really hard to refrain and remind myself that indeed I was not the wedding photographer.  I did.  For a good 5 minutes I sat on my hands.  The sky, the river, the beauty and the dress all became too much for me to handle! And so, I quickly grabbed my camera, ran to my dear friend who then grabbed the new hubby and off we went to shoot some quick frames.  And here are a few results of my addiction.....
